Guysborough and Tracadie
Guysborough, NS, Canada

A large group of Black Loyalists settled in Guysborough at Chedabucto Bay in 1784 after a fire swept through and destroyed their original Port Mouton settlement during the winter. Little Tracadie was the only Black community that was not substantially depopulated by the Sierra Leone exodus. Most of the Blacks in the area today are direct Black Loyalists descendants.
